Smacked right into the rise of pop and at the dusk of the post-grunge era, Train came into prominence with their rootsy, pop rock sound combined with classic rock nuances. The band was formed in 1993 and first broke out with their self-titled debut album in 1998. This initial success was nailed by their sophomore album "Drops of Jupiter," which brought them a Grammy win in 2002. They reached international stardom after their album "Save Me, San Francisco" came out in 2009 with three international hit songs "Hey, Soul Sister," "If It's Love," and "Marry Me." Overall, the band released eleven albums, with "AM Gold" (2022) being the most recent. Currently, the band consists of Pat Monahan, Hector Maldonado, Jerry Becker, Nikita Houston, Sakai Smith, Matt Musty, and Taylor Locke.

Better Than Ezra is a trailblazer of alt-pop rock, opening the door for other similar bands to shine. The band was formed in 1988 by Kevin Griffin (vocals and drums), Joel Rundell (lead guitar), and Tom Drummond (bass). They are best known for their 1993 break-out single "Good" from their album "Deluxe," which became a radio staple. Even though their following releases were not as successful, they continuously reached Billboard 200. The band's current members are Kevin Griffin, Tom Drummond, James Arthur Payne Jr., and Michael Jerome.
