Heavy metal legends Lamb of God and Mastodon have announced a co-headlining tour titled “Ashes of Leviathan” — a double 20th Anniversary celebration of their iconic 2004 albums! Together with special guests Kerry King and Malevolence, the two groups will march through North America this summer, laying waste across 29 premier venues, including an August 3 appearance at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Both bands will play their respective albums to completion, rousing a raging inferno of fierce music deep into the dark of night.

Up next, legendary prog-metal group Mastodon will usher in a flood of their universally acclaimed sophomore album, Leviathan, borrowing from the epic of Melville’s Moby-Dick. To start the show, Ex-Slayer lead guitarist Kerry King and his new band will set the stage ablaze, unleashing thunderous thrash metal hits, such as “Diablo” and “Idle Hands,” from his debut solo album, From Hell I Rise. English metalcore group Malevolence, meanwhile, will follow up with the no-holds-barred brutality of their sludge metal and hardcore beatdown tracks, reigniting the still-smoldering mayhem of their latest Malicious Intent LP.
